Year 11 Session log: September

Thursday September 4
Session:

Setting up Year 11
New term, new start, old coursework... students from both classes got their Section A coursework drafts back to today, to check for completeness. Mr Allison pointed out the importance of good coursework grades by comparing the results of GCSE students in 2007 and 2008.

We also reviewed the programme for Year 11, especially the Section B coursework project. Student re-grouped themselves according to whether theypreferred to work on print or moving-image production. From Tuesday, students with Mr Allison will be redrafting their Section A coursework, while students with Mrs Lean will start work on Section B.

Coursework surgeries will run in G4 on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 3.00-4.30. From the week of Monday September 15, students with missing coursework will be in a weekly detention until it is complete.

Homework:

If you have any coursework at home that should be in your folder, you must bring it into school immediately.
