Year 11 Course outline

Introduction

You can read more about the way the GCSE course is structured on the GCSE summary page. Briefly:

  • In Year 11 you will redraft your Section A coursework assignments from Year 10, and complete one major practical assignment with supporting written materials (Section B). This is also worth 25% of your GCSE.
  • Finally, you will sit a summer exam, based on a particular theme. You will have the spring term to study the theme in detail. You will receive the exam paper two weeks before the exam so that you can pre-plan your answers. This is worth 50% of your GCSE.

Timetable for Year 11 (2008-9)
