AcknowledgementsThis site is run by David Allison, Head of Media Studies at Sandringham School in St Albans, Hertfordshire, UK. Some of the resources and outline schemes on this site have been developed by Simon Wallace, former teacher in charge of Media, and I am grateful to him for his support. In compiling my own classroom resources, I have found the following websites especially helpful: This is a privately-run, non-profit website with an entirely educational purpose. Inevitably, because of the site's content, certain copyrights may have been infringed. I have tried to make use of copyright-protected
materials within the context of "fair use", and never with derogatory intent. However, if
you hold the copyright to any material used in this site and wish it to
be removed, please contact
me. Disclaimer: a message to teachersI have been flattered to receive many e-mails from teachers around the country - especially teachers new to Media education - thanking me for making all this content available. Correspondents on the TES Staffroom have said much the same. I am delighted that this site, which I only really intended to be used by my students, is finding a wider purpose. However, if you use materials from this site, please understand I am just a classroom teacher, not that long out of teacher training college and still learning both my craft and my subject. For factual and course advice, please always rely first on the exam boards, their officers, and published textbooks. While I try very hard to be accurate, we all make mistakes, and I would hate to see any error or omission on my part ricochet beyond the walls of my own school! That said, please feel free to browse and borrow. And if you have anything to share by return, I am just as happy to receive as to give! David Allison |
